VPSHR Training Specialists and Advisors

Capacity Training International (CTI) was established to meet a growing demand for practical implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR) into companies involved in the extractive and energy sectors worldwide.

Goal

Our ultimate goal is to assist each company in embedding a human rights culture similar to the safety culture, which now forms a natural and expected part of any business operating in the extractive and energy sectors.

Corporate Social Responsibility

CTI provides its clients with a means to both assess and address their Human Rights impact and risks to sustainable development and stakeholder confidence. CTI provides the perfect balance between our clients’ economic, environmental and social objectives through truly sustainable projects.

Philosophy

CTI is a unique business that specializes in delivering a range of sustainable security and law enforcement human rights based training solutions, directed towards both public and private security forces charged with the protection of vital assets belonging to extractive and energy companies, in line with their respective Corporate Social Responsibility policies.

CTI specializes in the implementation of targeted training programs with security entities, in order to minimize the risk of human rights abuses occurring with regards to their security arrangements, and hence complicity. Our aim is to transform the theoretical concepts of human rights into operational security realities, which meet the requirements of our clients and international law, practice and standards.
