VPSHR Training Specialists and Advisors

Accountability

CTI’s Human Rights Specialists have attained postgraduate (e.g. LLM) qualifications from the top human rights faculties in the world. Additionally, the majority of CTI Human Rights Specialists have substantial international law enforcement experience (generally at senior command level) and are utilized to review training materials and programs and to audit courses and benchmark training outcomes against intended project aims.

All CTI Human Rights Specialists are extensively published and have extensive experience in the area of Human Rights in Security and Law Enforcement.

Although CTI substantially minimizes risk of Human Rights violations, no training organization can ever guarantee that a client will not be accused of complicity. As outlined above, CTI employs the use of Human Rights specialists at carefully selected stages throughout a project.

This is not only to ensure absolute compliance with Human Rights standards in training delivery, but also provides an extra layer of substantial expert reporting on training activities undertaken in order that our clients can counteract complicity if such an accusation is ever made.
